Good to know
House Rules: Kindly remove shoes, boots on entry to preserve our specially selected wood floors, rug. Store in front of stairs on shelves closest to the door.. Wood stove may not be used for fire and no lit candles permitted at any time. Smoking is only permitted outside on the porches and ashes/butts must be properly disposed of in the compost/trash. Enjoy the bar top/kitchen island and stairwell shelf-top for games, prep cooking or as a workstation. Please help us keep the finish looking and feeling great by using the provided cutting boards for chopping, placemats for eating/computers, coasters for beverages, and coated metal trivets for hot pots and pans. The backyard is a shared space with the tenants of our main house. Enjoy the outdoor space directly in front of the your back deck, under the magnolia tree. Notes: Heating/cooling: There is a mini-split unit to heat and cool the main room with a remote hung on the wall behind the front door. There is radiant floor heat in the master bedroom and en suite bathroom. Both have separate touchscreen controls. These are currently programmed for a wintertime. Japanese Spa Bathroom: See Video Stove: See Video Smart TV/ Nest Speakers: Please enjoy the TV and Speakers. Easy access to your personal Netflix, and Prime accounts. Smoke Alarm: Fortunately these devices are very sensitive. In case one or the other activates due to cooking, clear the air by opening a door or window and turn on the ceiling fan. Then patiently press and hold the button on the device in the master bedroom for 2-3 minutes. Dryer: Please help us maintain a dry and fresh master bedroom by emptying the long white plastic water trap after each use. It can be pulled out from the upper left corner of the dryer and emptied into the bathroom sink. Settee/sofa bed in living room with spare linens, pillows, towels can be found under the windowseat and bedroom bench. Electric Hot water pot and French press are available for your tea or coffee pleasure.
